Overview

Shooting positions are closely related to our setup and our comfort. JRB prefers a platform, a high tie in point, and a LONG and adjustable bridge. See:

Archery Shooting Positions

This video was released in March 2025 and demonstrates how JRB achieves 360 degrees of shooting freedom from a saddle, using a recurve bow.

Branches for Positioning

Although use of a platform is a standard practice in saddle hunting, since 2008 when he started in a saddle, JRB has been successfully hunting without one, simply using branches for positioning. Be aware that JRB is always in rappel capable rope system (not a tether).
