About Webbing

Webbing can be used with a Water Knot for a variety of uses, including creating slings, drags, as well as the Garda Hitch Footloop, detailed on this page:

Some details:

  • Nylon products will have more stretch than Polyester.
  • Flat webbing is typical, like a common strap or belt.
  • Tubular webbing has a tubular cross section, and is generally thicker and stronger than flat webbing.
  • The Water Knot is the standard for joining two ends to create a sling:

Products

This is 3/4 inch flat webbing (not tubular). The strength is just over 1000lbs. Choose applications appropriately. A water knot holds well in the creation of slings.

Note: as of June 2024, the 1″ Tubular Webbing used to construct the Garda Hitch Footloop is not available for purchase by the foot.
