Hats
I love wearing caps and these are some of of my favorites. True story: I was driving through Pennsylvania on a hunting trip in 2019 and pulled into a roadside shop and saw this hat on a rack and bought it and wore it for years before knowing that it was Kryptek. I just loved the hat and it’s so comfortable and unique and awesome pattern.
Pants
Truewerk T2’s These pants were recommended by my buddy who works in construction and I love them. (I can’t stop wearing them, lol.) Super comfortable, water resistant and good in both hot and cold. The pocket configuration is pretty awesome for a saddle hunter, with different side pockets on each side. The left one stays shut with Velcro and the right one allows a phone to be slipped in an out easily while in a saddle. They are designed in the USA and I like the company profile: https://truewerk.com/pages/about
Wrangler ATG Pants In terms of the most lightweight and least bulky choice, JRB has been wearing these for every-day usage, as well as hunting. They are light and breathable and have a handy side pocket which is very useful as a climber who wears a saddle and getting into conventional pockets is a hassle. But they are not water resistant and a walk through the briar patch will show the evidence.
Shirts
I bought one of these and love it for fall archery hunting. The sleeves aren’t baggy and that works well for a bow hunter.
Boots
Mudrucker Boots JRB wore a pair of these for literally 10 years before they finally sprung a leak. They outlasted multiple pairs of other brands.
Boot Covers
Arctic Shield Boot Covers work great in cold weather. I carry them to my tree and put them on before I start my climb.
Coveralls
ScentLok Lightweight Coveralls JRB has been wearing a pair of Scentlok Coveralls for a very long time. Coveralls are perfect for a saddle hunter because they don’t ride up and cover our entire body. And although we can never completely beat the nose of a whitetail, it’s JRB’s assessment that the technology works.
