The Maverick Pole is available for purchase at Ape Canyon Outfitters. In order to make the unit as economical as possible, it has been fully discounted and is not eligible for the JRB15 coupon code.
The Maverick Pole, upgraded in 2025, is a collapsible 4-section pole, and used to set a rope anchor in a tree at a point above us. It can be used with numerous climbing techniques, including stick climbing, and “one stick” climbing. Note that the Maverick Pole should not be used to retrieve a hitch. Pulling too hard on it can cause the sections to come apart. Features:

The original pole was discontinued with the release of the new version. The original was a 3-section pole, 30.75″ to 75″ in length, one pound and a thinner bent steel hook.
